June 2026 DLOC International Rally
The trust was present at the 2026 DLOC International Rally event held at Coombe Abbey in Coventry. There were five Lanchester’s on display including the Abbott bodied LD10 convertible kindly loaned through Neil Campbell of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, (JDHT), Gaydon. A big thank you to all of the owners who displayed their Lanchester’s on the rally field, The trust did intend to have their newly acquired gazebo on full display, however, whilst the weather was bright and dry, it was also very windy and it was deemed to risky to erect it.
May 2026, The New Lanchester Trust Display Gazebo
The trust has taken delivery of a new display gazebo for both indoor and outdoor events. The gazebo is navy blue with the Lanchester Trust logo prominently positioned in the centre of the upper valence. The 4.5m x 3m gazebo can be erected by two people and has a full set of canvas walls. Additionally, we have created a number of display boards describing a broad range of Fred’s achievements and also the current work and activities the trust is involved in.
2025 Coventry University Lanchester Trust Student Award
The 2025 Lanchester Trust Student Award was presented to Frank Burton for his study into the optimisation of the centrifugal water pump impeller utilised in the Triumph Rocket 3 motorcycle. He received a certificate and a cheque for £300.00. Frank gained a first-class honours degree in mechanical engineering at Coventry University.
